As a profession, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy allows you to bridge the gap between your career and your spiritual life. The PRYT Training and Certification Programs offer a unique opportunity for a fulfilling career in this powerfully effective healing modality that combines the best of ancient yogic wisdom with the cutting edge of contemporary therapeutic insights.
You will learn to guide clients safely to the edge of deep physical sensation. Here, with awareness focused on those sensations, you enter into dialogue. Rather than try to fix anything, you simply help clients listen to their body's wisdom — listen without judgment or a need to change — which helps release underlying emotions or beliefs that often manifest in chronic aches and pains.
In Level 1, you will be introduced to the principles and practice of Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. Much of the learning is experiential, including how to apply techniques for assisting clients in yoga therapy postures. You will also gain an understanding of each posture's metaphysical significance and how it is used to support the transformation process. Precautions, physical benefits, counter postures, variations, preparation, and transitions are also covered. You will learn how to guide clients in a body scan to determine areas of tension and freedom and general guidelines for yoga therapy sessions.- Introduction to fundamental techniques of Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy
