Teacher Mentoring Program

Mentoring topics/skills that can be covered in your personalized program:

  • The Five Koshas During Pregnancy
  • Working with Your Mind and Nervous System: Using Yoga Therapy and Somatics to help your students prepare for birth
  • Themeing and Sequencing Your Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Classes
  • Postpartum Recovery Tools
  • Working with PTSD from traumatic birth or loss

Your personalized mentorship program will be comprised of pre-recorded videos and audio recordings, pdf documents, sample classes, and a video review assignment where Lela will give you feedback on your teaching. Lela can also help you with your marketing plan.

Investment: Up to you! Depending on how much time you want to spend and how many CE hours you need, we can design a program based on your budget and needs. Generally, rates are $105/contact hour for consults and private sessions (personal practice recommendations or Somatic Experiencing sessions) plus additional cost for coursework.

 

About Lela Beem, C-IAYT, RPYT, E-RYT500

Lela is co-owner of Grateful Yoga in Evanston and has been leading group and private Hatha and Prenatal classes there and in the Chicago area since 2005. For 10 years, Lela was co-owner and lead trainer for the Amala School of Prenatal Yoga, a Registered Prenatal Yoga Training School through Yoga Alliance offering 85 hour programs in Chicago. Lela is currently an advanced level student in the trauma recovery progam Somatic Experiencing and continues to blend her love of working with the perinatal population with this powerful work.
