rhoda demonstrates savasana propping

Grateful Yoga is a great place to work.  We the owners, Nick and Lela, busted our butts as independent contractor teachers for many years before starting the studio.  We know how hard it is to make a living as a yoga teacher, so we try to make Grateful Yoga the best possible place to work.  We pay higher than any other local studio we know of.  We will help you develop workshops and series and support them with marketing.  We hold regular Movement Salons where we explore new practices together and build teaching collaborations.

Interested in joining our teaching staff?  Awesome!  We'd love to meet you.

The first step is figuring out if our studio is a good fit for your teaching skills and vibe.  We are not a vinyasa or hot studio.  Explore our website, and check out some of our public videos and writing, to get a sense of what we're about.

Then, please send us an email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) with your resume and ideally a video teaching sample.  We may also ask you to attend one of Nick or Lela's weekly classes so we can meet you in person and you can learn about the studio.

If it seems like a match, we'll likely ask you to sub a few classes before we start a weekly class.  We can also provide ongoing teacher mentoring for newer teachers, by mutual agreement.

We're also open to proposals for one-day workshops or class series, especially if you live locally.
